An Art Update For Adults

| Share

What? You think I’ve procrastinated getting all the photos and movies from the last 11-06-10 Capitola show off the camera and onto this site? Yeah, that’s true, but I have something else to share in the meantime.

I’ve started a new series. Remember in my podcast I stated that I was struggling with my acrylic pieces? Well, that’s still the case but I decided to work through it and start a series called “Adult Alphabet” and in an effort to keep this blog interesting or at the very least updated and newish, I plan on posting a painting in this series frequently so check back often. I would say everyday, but that’s unrealistic and a recipe for failure on my part. How about every other day or so. Can we say that?

When all the paintings have been completed (all 26 of them) they will all be hanging on the wall as a whole in a big group. I’m still unsure about how many rows and or columns that will entail, but when it’s all finished I’ll take a photo and show you what I mean.

First up of course is the letter A.

Series: Adult Alphabet
Title: “A is for arms akimbo”
Dimensions: 2 1/2 in x 3 1/2 in
Media: Acrylic & Vintage Collage on Canvas
Year: 2010

Love it and honestly am spooked out, am working on a kids’ alphabet project. How weird is that?

Whoa. Really??? That IS pretty spooky. But spooky in a cool connection way. I’d love to see your children’s alphabet when its finished, will you be selling it on Etsy? BTW: letter B should be up either today or tomorrow.

Really. Sensei is going to teach a kids’ class and asked if I’d want to help. Umm yeah. Each letter is a basically a virtue. Not selling on Etsy, for the class. I dig the letter B, and A.
