ACEO Art Cards 2-10-2010
Here are a few art cards I am planning on putting up for ebay auction soon. I also may or may not get an Etsy store. People have been asking me about that. Ebay has treated me pretty well in the past regarding these cards, but if you have other opinions, please feel free to leave them in the comments section. I would love to l hear what you have to say.
On the cards themselves, I’m trying to do different series. This of course is the bird series with their Latin scientific names appropriately attached. I also started experimenting with colored collage from my 60’s/70’s magazines regarding the leaves. I usually only stick to my 40’s/50’s mags for collaging but thought I would try this out. The jury is still out on this process, but I feel I need to give it more of a chance than just two cards before I can officially declare it a disaster which we are all about ready to.The committee that resides inside my head tends to shut things down before its time and it is really hard to sometimes convince them otherwise. But I’m going to try hard not to fall for their tricks in 2010.
Oh wait, are you worried that my crazy esoteric acrylic collage paintings of sideshow freaks and mermaids have been abandoned for nature, rainbows and woodland creature creations? No. That is absolutely not the case. They are resting right now. And I promise that is not a fancy word for procrastination.
Watercolor beckons right now and I must answer the call.

I love love love your watercolors, no matter the subject. You have such a delicate touch with them. The Eastern Bluebird is my favorite from this series.
THANK YOU TIFFANY!!! Should I tell you the truth that I wanted to start a small candle fire with them right before I posted all these? Your compliments have now prevented that. For now.

Carol,
These f’ing rock! They look alive. Agree with Tiffany on your delicate touch. Love that the branches are cut out of text.
Etsy all the way baby. Except for the vintage stuff, it’s all artists and craftspeople on there. Good community.

Mo

In other news, you and I need to get together for some snacks and chats : )
