Pasta Fazool
Last night we decided to make Pasta Fazool. I am too lazy to look up how you really spell it, so I supplied the phonetic spelling. The ingredients consist of tiny pastas, rosemary, vegetable broth and garlic. It is simple but simply delicious, let me tell you…

The best part is that we used the tomatoes we canned from our garden LAST year and rosemary that is growing in a little pot on my patio, now. Usually I make my own veggie broth (my sister got me hooked on that last year as she make AWESOME veggie broth) but this time I cheated and used store bought stuff. Later, some salad and a loaf of whole wheat bread showed up alongside everything to make it a meal. Holy smokes – while Mike simmered the garlic, rosemary and tomatoes (pictured above) the aroma was indescribable. As “Mr. BAM” says on the Food Network, I wish we had “smell-a-vision” so you could scratch and sniff my blog to smell what I smelled last night. Pure heaven.
There is something so magical about using things you grew and then preserved in what you eat.
