Sweet Find #4

Serve 6 for only 67 cents!

Now, I realize this was 1947, but for 3 cents more there must have been better options out there to feed six.

If I came home from a long day of holiday shopping and found only this on my table, along with five other people sitting around it, a smile sure as hell would not had been illustrated like it was here on this poor sap.

I’m pretty sure my dad’s mom made this. And after my parents were divorced, my mom would crave it and beg me to sneak some home for her on the holidays. It was simply called “green jello” but the only thing green about it was the celery in it. Bleck.

No seriously, did you see this in your day!?

With celery? And you live before my eyes!?

Jeezuz.

I have newfound respect.

Seriously, Carrie. The only thing I came close to in my lifetime such as this was a fruitcake I looked across the table THANKFULLY with my Mom not begging me to have some......

I swear it...pinky swear it even. My grandma’s was not as white as the one pictured and took on more of a baby sage green color, but there was gelatin and celery involved. That’s all that needs to be said. I am disappointed in myself that I never tried it. Then again, the food segment of Fear Factor was never my favorite.
