Tales from the lair
It has been a while since I have updated my artistic whereabouts here at Carol Kroll headquarters, but I have been buried in real life and inside my animated musical to my tune One More Chance. And it’s taking longer than expected. Mostly because other things pop up, and I get distracted with other work, and then Flash (the program I work with to animate these days) can sort of be a jerk, and I need to walk away from time to time and collect myself when it crashes. Containing all fury.
Talk is cheap, and I hate talking about what I am working on, but this is a blog and it needs to be updated. Plus it keeps me honest and accountable for getting new work up and out. I hate looking at my old crap up here, so this is why I am “talking about” work that is being done today.
I have a couple new tunes I am working on too, along with some paintings of course, but I am focusing mostly on finishing this animated dealio. Finishing it before I collect social security.
And while I have been working on it, I have toyed with posting its progress, but since it is only 4 minutes long (a lifetime in the animation world) what could I post that wouldn’t give the whole bloody thing away? Right. So instead, for some new color on this site, I thought I would post some “stills” from the scenes I have completed instead.
And yes. These are BUTTER-flies. Get it? Get it? Get it? Yeah, I’m 12.
