About my music: I work primarily in Garageband as my resources are limited. Though the recordings are not the expensive finished studio kind that everyone knows and loves, and I am still learning as I go along here on my journey, I humbly offer these up for your ears to try. My grand visions of symphonies, choirs and the release of 300 white doves in the sky at the end of each tune will have to wait a bit.

So for now, musical sketches. Please enjoy!

A Lie Is A Lie

Pretty self explanatory. Everyone’s guilty of it. Whether we’re telling them or living them. Also really enjoyed assembling “the choir” for this part. Granted, it was just me acting as the choir – but building a crazy amount of harmonies was challenging and fun. Hope to do it again for some others.

Your Loss

I have always loved Latin music. Like what was going on in the 1950’s in Havana, Cuba. Kirsty MacColl’s album “Topical Brainstorm” amazed me and left me envious. And I continue to feel that way every time I listen. A British red haired vixen making Latin tunes with some bite in the lyrics. It was an AMAZING album. Still is. This is my first humble attempt into that genre.

Cover: Aimee Mann’s Little Bombs

| Share

I have a list of tunes I would like to cover from other artists who I find inspiring. This is an experimental acoustic demo of just me at the piano singing Aimee Mann’s, “Little Bombs”. I absolutely adore the lyrics and music equally. The beauty of life and the contemplation of ending it.

One More Chance

I’ll be quite honest. This song took a lot out of me. At the core, it’s about missed opportunities but trusting at the same time. And I think we all can relate to that. That’s when we learn our greatest lessons, I feel. No matter how painful they might be.

Used To Be

| Share

Well, I finally got the nerve to start presenting some of my solo work I have been working on for awhile. This first tune I’m throwing out here is called “Used To Be” so I hope you enjoy it. I really enjoyed making it. In its true essence it is really about forcing round pegs into square holes and fighting it all the way.

Too Much

| Share

Hopefully the lyrics are self explanatory here. The vocals need work as I’m still searching for the right “flow of all my air”- as it was appropriately – “too much”. I was listening to 1960’s musicals before I recorded these vocals, and regrettably, I think it shows. Whoa there runaway mustang high on the updraft of West Side Story’s “I Feel Pretty”! But please enjoy this scratch track all the same. Vocal advancements, and restraints will be made to it in the near future.

If I Told You

Well, I think we have all been there when you are afraid to speak up in fear of making someone angry or being completely misunderstood. Or maybe not. But I find myself in that situation constantly. With a lot of people. Enjoy!
