About my music: I work primarily in Garageband as my resources are limited. Though the recordings are not the expensive finished studio kind that everyone knows and loves, and I am still learning as I go along here on my journey, I humbly offer these up for your ears to try. My grand visions of symphonies, choirs and the release of 300 white doves in the sky at the end of each tune will have to wait a bit.

So for now, musical sketches. Please enjoy!

One More Chance

I’ll be quite honest. This song took a lot out of me. At the core, it’s about missed opportunities but trusting at the same time. And I think we all can relate to that. That’s when we learn our greatest lessons, I feel. No matter how painful they might be.

One More Chance

Lyrics and music: © 2009 Carol Kroll

Verse 1:
I
finally forgot
all about you
I
Was doing fine
Until I saw you
How
Could so much be
Said without a sound
Now
I can’t find you no
You’re not around

Chorus:
Will I
Have that chance again
To Say
What I should have said then
Were you
Trying to make me see
Were you
trying to get to me

Verse 2:
I
Tried like hell
To ignore you
Now I’m
Wishing that I could
Have known you
The things
That could have been
and might have been
The “hi”
I should have said
to you then

Chorus:
Will I
Have that chance again
To Say
What I should have said then
Were you
Trying to make me see
Were you
trying to get to me

Bridge:
Souls
Have a way
Of seeing through
The gray
And have their plan
For us anyway

Verse 3:
You
Looked so sad
Even pitiful
And I
Sat there afraid
And doubtful
But you
Still smiled at me
And you hoped I’d see
I did
But missed my opportunity

Chorus:
Will I
Have that chance again
To Say
What I should have said then
Were you
Trying to make me see
Were you
trying to get to me
Will I
Have that chance again
To Say
What I should have said then
Were you
Trying to make me see
Were you
trying to get to me

Bridge:
Souls
Like the ones
In you and me
Have
Their plan for us
just you wait and see

I’m glad we got together last night, because it reminded me I needed to listen to your tunes. This has to be one of my favorites. But they’re all great, of course!

Thales said on Nov 2, 2009:

Yeah, this one’s still my favorite.
